Farm Tour | Sundowner Trips | New Developments | The Things we do

Farm Tour Tour on Hexrivier Citrus Farm, one of the oldest in the valley, circa 1734. See the oldest Orange Tree in the country, stroll through the orchards and get introduced to our way of producing best quality citrus in an ecologically friendly way. R40.00pp including refreshments. A packhouse tour can be combined with the farm tour, arranged on request.	Sundowner Trips Ride to the top of the mountain overlooking the Cederberg. Larger groups can be accommodated by tractor and wagon. Experience the beauty of our fynbosveld and views over the Citrusdal valley. R50.00pp (minimum 2 people) Snacks and complimentary glass of wine included.

New Developments Farm picnics at special spots, tours into the Cederberg, and to Wuppertal via Eselbank, are being discussed. You are welcome to enquire about these. The Things We Do Dwarsrivier: Wine tasting in the middle of the Cederberg valley and visit the huge Caves at Stadsaal. 50 km of beatific views,past Algeria, over Uitkyk pass, next to Wolfberg Cracks. We'll drive you there. R120 pp. (minimum 2 people) Sundowner trips: Ride to top of the mountain overlooking the Cederberg. Experience the beauty of our fynbosveld and views over the Citrusdal valley. Snacks & complimentary glass of wine included R30pp (minimum 2 people) Gelukwaarts dam: Laze in the sun, float away on a lorry tube, pack yourself and a friend in our two-man canoe and cruise around the Egyptian geese, coots, grebes and spurwing geese. If you're lucky, you might spot a little steenbok as well. R20 pp including transport. Tharak Khama: Spend the day next to the river., right at the top of the valley, our most beautiful orchards, pristine fynbos, crystal clear water, and a perfect picnic spot. Picnic and refreshments included. R100 pp San art exploring: We still find new sites. Bring your swimming costumes as well. R20 pp Taaiboskraal Day Trip: From the farmhouse, walk over mountain, down to Taaiboskraal, and return round the back of Grootberg, down Pofadderpass. Taaiboskraal Day Hike | Oliphantskop Two-day Trip

Taaiboskraal Day Trip : From the farmhouse, walk over the hill, picnic at the river at Taaiboskraal, and return round the back of Grootberg, down Pofadderspass - R30.00 pp.

Beautiful views of Citrusdal Valley, the western Cederberg and the farm. Old farm implements and ruins at Taaiboskraal remind us of the transience of all our endeavours.

Olifantskop Two-day Trip: Walk to Taaiboskraal, and on to the Olifantskop cave, which sleeps 16 people, and back via Pofadderspass. This beautiful trail hugs the Hex River, and meanders through pristine wilderness. R50.00 pp.

Hike through beautifully fragrant buchu patches, discover secret valleys, and fall in the river quick cool-offs ever so often. It is possible to link up with the Cederberg Wilderness boundary road from 1km beyond the cave, provided that permits are obtained from Nature Conservation.

CYCLING TRAILS

30 km of mountainbiking bliss, this trial takes you right into the mountains. Starting out in the Hexrivier orchards, you traverse the foothills of the Cederberg, cutting across mountain plantations of rooibos tea, descending back into valley to round off the trip with a meander past the river or the Sandrif dam.
