Stepping Up

The South African flooring industry has, for a long time now, had difficulty in finding a stair edging product with a high tech look which is more suitable than wooden block finishes. Aiming to satisfy the needs of the flooring market Transit Floor Coverings has introduced Stair Trim by Transit. This is a stair edging system which can be fitted to the edges of stairs whether they be on the inside against a wall or on the open side of the stair. The installation and stair fitting is a simple process offering an extremely high quality finish at a reasonable cost. The product is available from most flooring contractors.

The system was designed to be used with the Transit stair covering tile, known as Transit Tread. The width of the Transit Tread is 300mm and the depth 470mm, which is adequate in size to cover the majority of stairs which are constructed in accordance with recommended building industry specifications.

Stair Trim by Transit can also be fitted to stairs when using most other stair coverings such as carpeting and vinyl products.
