Club History
Beyond The Cableway was started in
January 1999 and on our first hike we had 40 people. As with most other
activities this number declined to the point where we are now approximately
a group of 20 people that hike regularly. We hike every second weekend
on a Sunday but with the access to a network there are hikes available
virtually every Saturday and Sunday as well as during the week.
In the last two years the club has
hiked but to mention a few :
The Fish River Canyon
Greyton McGregor
Hottentots Holland
Boland 90
And Numerous Hikes on Table Mountain
Range.
The intention for 2001 is to include
more week and longer hikes.

Club Activities
The club recently October 2000 held
a hiking exibition which was a first as far
I know in a library in Grassy Park, Cape Town. The exibition ran for one
day and the response was great. A local news paper ran an article which
was published on Wednesday 8/11/2000
