Drinking Wildebeest.

The Blue Wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus) is easily Africa's ugliest antelope in the eyes of Man. Although their most famous habitat is the East African savannah plains, they are common throughout Africa where there is water and the bush isn't too dense. I photographed a group at Mkuzi game reserve in northern Kwazulu-Natal as they came drinking at the water hole. Mkuzi is famous for its 'photographer friendly' hides and provides excellent opportunities for bird watchers and photographers alike.
