Within NATO, member countries often make use of combined patrols using personnel from the military police organisations of NATO member countries. At the time of writing these countries were Germany, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain and the United States of America.

These military police organisations are known as follows:
  • "NCMP" - NATO Combined Military Police.
  • "GMPN" - Gemeinsame Militarpolizei der NATO.
  • "PMMO" - Police Militaire Mixte OTAN.
NATO Combined Military Police brassard Whilst they wear their own national uniforms, military police attached to NATO Combined Military Police patrols wear a blue brassard with the NATO star and lettering "MP" in white on their left arm.

Their vehicles are marked with a blue plate carrying a white NATO star.
