Members of SI Pretoria took the above mentioned presidents out to visit the women of the Mapula Embroidery Project. This project was started by SI Pretoria in 1991 and has an approximate sales turnover of R300,000 pa. The women receive ±80% of the selling price as soon as they have sold their product. The balance goes back into the project in order to buy embroidery cotton, fabric, pay for transport and postage, stationary, telephone and internet.
